Rachel Lays

© 1987 J. Lynker

Before the dawning of the morning light
Rachel Lays awake her body glowing bright
Beside a lover that don't know her name
Lights a cigarette she thinks it's all the same
Everytime the friendship starts to get intense
Wishin' she could just return to innocense
A careful come on she would design
She could never be denied

Another lover on another night
Rachel's eyes are glistening as she sets her sights
She had a boyfriend but he'd mess around
Till somebody taught Rachel how to paint the town
Independance is the best of both worlds
For this horny little lonely girl

You hear the rumor that's been going 'round?
Rachel's got a vengence that is going down
A trusted lover has just passed away
And what her lover died of Rachel wouldn't say
Rachel Lays down almost every night
But now there's tears within her eyes
