In 1972, John Paul took his first and middle name as his stage name (can you guess who influenced that decision? Send an email to JP). A promising electric guitarist, influenced by Steve Howe, Jimmy Page, Jeff Beck, Eric Clapton, Leslie West and many others, John Paul was hopeful a career in music would be his destiny.

Throughout the '70's and '80's, John Paul performed in various bands throughout Albany, NY, Boston, MA, Washington D.C., Santa Barbara and the San Francisco Bay Area. He composed and produced several hard rock songs, but found a softer side in 1984 when he took up classical guitar. By combining nylon stings with wooden recorders, John Paul developed a sound that is an attractive soft alternative rock, pop-folk with a streety and heart felt grit common in grunge.

Having taken acting from 1984-86, a fan early Genesis (remember Peter Gabriel as Rael?), John Paul has an affinity for the dramatic arts, and welcomes that into his music with every beat.

Late in coming, still in pursuit, Musician John Paul continues to build on this musical style and venture. He appreciates and thanks you kindly for any and all your support.

 Webpage &copy 2004 Paean Enterprises
